Serving more than 1,000,000 residents of 100+ communities in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, our Care Team Members are made up of paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), dispatchers, special transportation drivers, maintenance, education, administration and support personnel.

Emergency medical services

In 2024, our internationally accredited communications center answered 341,583 calls and we received 148,827 ambulance response requests- 114,803 for 911 calls in our response areas and mutual aid requests and just over 34,000 requests for interfacility responses.

Services include:

  • Priority medical dispatch with 911 pre-arrival instructions
  • 911 ambulance responses
  • Interfacility transports
    • Critical care transports:
      • High-acuity patients with complicated medical conditions, such as on ventilators, multiple IV infusions, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation [ECMO]
      • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) transports in partnership with Children's Minnesota
    • Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance transports
      • Patients needing cardiac monitoring or basic medication administration
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance transports
      • Patients needing monitoring and/or are unable to sit due to medical conditions
    • Special Transportation
      • Wheelchair transports
      • Greater Minnesota & Physician Outreach ride programs
