Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute (AHMHI) is Minnesota’s leading cardiovascular program, providing expert, patient-centered heart care to more than 191,000 individuals in 2025. Services span the full continuum of care, including prevention, advanced diagnostics, treatment and lifelong management. With more than 30 specialized programs and services, AHMHI delivers comprehensive cardiovascular care, supported by strong clinical outcomes and a deep commitment to research and innovation.

AHMHI’s reach continued to expand. In 2025, AHMHI increased access to advanced cardiac imaging services in Hastings, helping reduce barriers to timely diagnosis and treatment. Access was further expanded with the addition of mobile echo services at Williams Integracare in Sartell. With more than 45 rural and regional locations in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, plus a growing network of imaging sites, the institute operates one of the nation’s largest cardiovascular outreach programs. This broad access supports Minnesota’s distinction as having one of the lowest cardiovascular disease death rates in the United States.

In partnership with the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, AHMHI researchers lead clinical trials, publish more than 250 peer reviewed articles annually, and help bring breakthrough therapies from concept to care. In 2025, AHMHI became the first in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest to use Affera technology to treat persistent atrial fibrillation.

With more than 250 physicians and advanced practice providers, Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute continues to advance the future of cardiovascular care for the communities it serves.
